  • Ensure that Engineering Tasks and relevant drawings are checked to ensure they are production ready and achievable
  • Implement design change within production and account for stock up- issues in line with Stakeholder approval. Arrange and schedule Modification Production Orders.
  • Identify items in critical path and liaise with Purchasing to expedite where possible
  • Give clear instruction to Purchasing of what needs to be bought and schedule of delivery.
  • Analyse Engineering drawings and BOMs to enable make/buy decisions & estimate labour times on internal manufacture.
  • Provide cover for and support the Production Control Manager when required
  • Provide cover and support for the production Planners when required.
  • Day to day management of your workload, prioritising tasks.
Person Specification:
  • HNC/ HND or equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline
  • Technical background
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office package
  • Able to read and understand all aspects of technical drawings.
  • Must be flexible and dynamic. Able to work to rapidly changing priorities
  • Strong decision making.
  • Effective communicator
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the configuration/change control process.
This is a permanent, 40 hours per week position, Monday to Friday based at Dunkeswell. If you are interested please email the careers team.

A fulltime position has arisen (through internal progression) at our Dunkeswell facility to support the Production and Sales elements of the business as the primary intake and quality contact. Reporting to the Warehouse manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the following as part of the full remit: • Generate Sales Order Manifests for dispatch. • Ensure items are packed prior to dispatch in a way that meets customer requirements. • Collate Sales orders for dispatch for current week and up to 6 weeks before Customer date on Sales Order. • Ensure Certificates of Competence have been prepared and the Shelf Life Data where required is provided. Computer literacy and experience with the Microsoft basic functions is essential for this role, and a current forklift operators licence a benefit. This is a fulltime role based on a 40 hour week which may cover some weekend work when required. Due to current and future projects we have immediate opportunities to work in our Engineering team based at our Dunkeswell site. With customers including the world’s leading Special Forces, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, the nuclear industry, Tier 1 defence OEMs, niche automotive manufacturers and ground-breaking mobility device companies, our engineering team is trusted to overcome difficult challenges- it’s what we do. If your future lies in using sustainable power sources and intelligent control systems to move precious cargoes and people through difficult environments and you have the skills, ingenuity and agility to design sustainable, efficient solutions to engineering problems, then come and join us. While the roles are based in Dunkeswell, it is anticipated that remote working/working from home will dominate for the next 6 months, with office/remote working patterns to be agreed with your line manager.
