Community Projects
At SC Group, Social Value—though not a tangible asset—embodies our commitment to uplifting the local community. Through educational initiatives, we empower the next generation by revealing career opportunities and nurturing their belief in their potential.
We champion job creation, prioritise health and wellbeing, and cultivate community cohesion.
Social Mobility Business Partnership
Supacat in collaboration with Foot Anstey have forged an alliance with the Social Mobility Business Partnership (SMBP), working closely together to support students from low-income backgrounds.
The SMBP program is dedicated to uplifting students from low-income backgrounds as they embark on their journey into the workforce. This event is designed to cultivate essential workplace skills and offer valuable insights into industry trends, professional networking opportunities, and effective job application tips, all while breaking down social barriers. The program’s overarching goal is to instill confidence in students and empower them to chase their dreams and reach their career aspirations.
Being part of the SMBP programme allows SC Group to demonstrate diverse career options to students from underprivileged backgrounds and show the next generation that opportunities are available to everyone.
We were honoured to welcome this year’s SMBP students to Dunkewell as part of their industrial familiarisation week.
The SMBP event is a beacon of hope. It enables SMEs like us to demonstrate the career opportunities available within their organisation and showcase the variety of functions that help support company performance.
The SMBP programme is not just about educating the next generation about the variation of roles within a business. It’s about providing them with insight into the values and culture that underpin a successful organisation. For the Supacat team, it was an excellent opportunity to reflect on their own career development and to positively impact the lives of others, making a real impact on both the students and our organisation.

A massive thank you for the time and effort you put in to organising what I understand was an absolutely fantastic day for the Social Mobility Business Partnership.
The feedback from the students who attended was brilliant and they all found it a really interesting and engaging day, which is testament to the thought and effort you put in.
It is massively appreciated by SMBP, Foot Anstey and me personally.
