Extended Agreement and New Territories
Proteum has announced a five-year extension to its distribution agreement with OXE Marine Diesel, which now includes new territories. This extension will enhance the OXE brand’s presence and enable growth in the diesel outboard sector.
Based in Hampshire, Proteum confirmed that it will continue its OXE Marine Diesel distribution agreement within the UK and Ireland, and it has also been awarded a new distribution license for Norway and Iceland. This expansion strengthens Proteum’s reach in the maritime market.
Norway and Iceland offer substantial marine opportunities for Proteum. Due to their remote locations, there is a need for Search and Rescue (S.A.R.) craft, as well as support for wind farm operators and salmon fish farms. The OXE Diesel Outboard is well-suited for these markets, benefiting from the widespread availability of diesel, which provides versatility and an extended range for operations in remote areas.
Neil Taylor commented, “Proteum’s relationship with OXE Marine is going from strength to strength. The extension of our current UK agreement, along with our new territory, is a testament to that. We have been with OXE from the beginning and have seen continued growth in sales year on year. We look forward to replicating this success in the Norwegian and Icelandic markets.”
The OXE Diesel combines the reliability and endurance of marine inboards with the flexibility and agility of outboard engines. The OXE Diesel Outboard range includes options of 225hp, 250hp and 300 HP to meet diverse customer specifications. And those greener maritime operators can reduce their vessel’s emission by up to 97% simply by using hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) instead of standard diesel. This transition is straightforward, as the entire range of OXE Marine diesel outboards distributed by Proteum is validated to operate on HVO fuel.
Receiving a significant extension and expanding into Scandinavia demonstrates the strength of the Proteum and OXE Marine relationship, and it enables Proteum to further broaden its distribution efforts.
