Specialist Engineering Company of the Year 2025

Announced as Specialist Engineering Company at the Innovation and Excellence Awards

March 2025, Supacat is recognised as the winner of the category ‘Specialist Engineering Company of the Year’ at the Innovation and Excellence Awards. This honour, deliberated by a distinguished panel of judges, highlights our unwavering commitment to innovation and our specialised expertise in designing and manufacturing cutting-edge solutions capable of operating in the most challenging environments.

Supacat has built a solid reputation for delivering products characterised by their robustness, reliability, and affordability. Our vehicles are meticulously engineered to withstand extreme conditions, ensuring durability and long-term performance. They are trusted in critical situations to safeguard lives, most notably through our development of the Lifeboat Launch and Recovery System for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). Additionally, we have designed all-terrain and high mobility tactical vehicles specifically for the British Army and global special forces, adapting them to meet the rigorous demands of modern warfare and rescue operations.

In 2024, we proudly announced the acquisition of a second contract within a span of just over a year, under which the British Army is set to procure a total of 123 vehicles. This significant commitment not only enhances job security within our company but also fortifies the UK supply chain, contributing to the overall stability and growth of the local economy. With this influx of resources, we are positioned to reinvest in our workforce and advance our product offerings, allowing us to develop innovative technologies and platforms that cater to both defence and non-defence sectors.

As a forward-thinking company, we recognise the crucial importance of adopting environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. Our commitment to sustainability is integral to our operations and aligns with our vision for a responsible future. Furthermore, we are dedicated to expanding our export capabilities, which facilitates continual reinvestment in pioneering technology.

Finally, we actively nurture the next generation of talent through partnerships with universities and robust apprenticeship schemes. Currently, we are invested in the development of 27 students, equipping them with skills and experience that are essential for their future careers in engineering and technology. This investment not only benefits the students but also ensures a bright future for our industry.
