Shannon Lifeboat Launch and Recovery System (SLARS)

SC Innovation is privileged to be working alongside the RNLI for more than 20 years.

The SC Innovation design engineers and manufacturing team work closely with the RNLI, to deliver responsive solutions to a life saving call.

The Shannon Launch and Recovery Systems was designed and manufactured by the SC Innovation team, to date, SC Innovation has manufactured 23 L&RS’s.

The premise for the Shannon L&RS success, has been enabling a fast launch time across 28 different beach terrains. The 18t Shannon Class an be deployed in all weather conditions, which makes it an incredible feat of engineering. Its unique capabilities, enables the Shannon Lifeboat to be pivoted 360 degrees to prepare for a bow launch and recovery, and the L&RS can be submerged in 9m of water, without impacting the mechanics or operational capability.
