To carry out workshop activities as tasked by the project, primarily in the fabrication and welding of Blackhill Engineering Services Ltd customer products.
Key Responsibilities
To follow detailed work instructions and technical drawings relating to the welding and fabrication of component parts and large assemblies. This will include but not limited to, use of Mig/Tig, plasma profiler, guillotine and press brake.
To ensure the scope and timing of assigned tasks are understood, completed as per requirements and in accordance with relevant working procedures.
To ensure all relevant documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Maintain all tools and equipment in a clean and usable state; return tools and equipment to appropriate storage area(s) when not being used. Report defects or damage to the fabrication manager.
To work in accordance with current quality procedures and advise any errors or variances to appropriate manager.

The heart and head of any engineering project is the Project engineer. Pulls all the engineering activity into a deliverable plan of action. Works closely with the Project managers and advises them on all engineering matters in their project plan, in order to deliver on time, on budget and to standard.
Key Responsibilities
Must be able to translate the Customers requirements to deliverable engineering tasks. Working hand in hand with the Project manager you will take the plan through to production.
Work closely with Design engineers and build teams to draw, plan and deliver a manufactured product to the customer. Design work, checking a fault finding drawings along with practical testing of parts and systems will be a daily event.
Needs to be flexible and adaptive to manage the design team to a shared and understood version of the customers’ requirements. This will be done in line with quality and assurance standards and supported by senior Project and principal engineers.
Must have a high level of automotive engineering understanding, across all aspects of the design and build. From the first concept drawing to final testing and hand over to the customer you will be involved.
High level of communication skills and influence internally to SC Group and with external agencies.

A senior appointment leading a team of systems and safety analysts. The position is key to the safe and assured delivery of the companies’ programs and projects. Use of analysis software tools, software and calculation to assure the outputs of a fast moving and flexible engineering design team. You will be working on a variety of programs and projects from large scale MOD Contracted vehicles to internal innovation projects.
